The new Coach saw red for repeatedly protesting against the referee after two penalty appeals in last night’s 1-0 home loss.

“We were a little unlucky,” stated the former Milan star. “We must continue with the same mentality and think about going beyond our limitations.

“The satisfaction over the performance remains, though obviously the result leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. I cannot ask for more from my players right now, nor from the fans who pushed us on with their passion.

“I told the lads to keep their heads up, as I saw them fight and sweat for the shirt, which is what I want from them.

“There is enthusiasm, everyone works hard and it’s a shame about the defeat, but every game is different. We have to build on the positives and work on eliminating the mistakes.”
