The 25-year-old, signed from Genoa in January 2011, currently earns approximately €2m a season after tax. It is being claimed he wants to net €3m a campaign.

Ranocchia, capped 10 times by Italy, has scored four goals in 63 League games for the Beneamata since his arrival.
