Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri admits he’d like to take charge of the Italian national side one day.
Allegri is being named as a contender to replace Cesare Prandelli given that the latter is expected to leave after the 2014 World Cup.

“I’ve said on numerous occasions that the dream of any Coach is to boss your own country and that’s the case for me,” the former Cagliari” data-scaytid=”7″>Cagliari tactician told Sky Sport Italia.
“Right now I’m at Milan and I’m very happy to be the Coach here, while there is a great man in charge of Italy.
“But it is a role I aspire to, not necessarily now, maybe in 10 years, but it is only normal that I am targeting such a job.”
Allegri could be available for the start of the 2014-15 campaign as his contract at San Siro will expire in June.
In his first three seasons with the Diavolo, he has led the club to a first, second and third-placed finish in Serie A.
Allegri was also quizzed on the return of Kaka, a player who left Milan for Real Madrid four years ago.
“I’m happy,” the 46-year-old added. “Everyone wanted him and Adriano Galliani completed a great market move.
“We were missing a player in that role after the sale of Kevin Prince Boateng. Kaka will allow us to take a step up in quality thanks to his experience and technique.”
