Massimiliano Allegri believes Kaka’s presence will help boost all of Milan after he played in a friendly with Chiasso.

The Rossoneri won 4-0 in Switzerland for Saturday’s friendly, which gave Kaka the opportunity to make his ‘debut’ following a transfer from Real Madrid.

“Considering it was his first time playing with his new teammates, Kaka did pretty well,” the Coach told Milan Channel.

“He still needs to find his match fitness, though. Kaka has great quality, is a champion and his presence raises the level of self-confidence throughout the squad. It was generous of Marco Amelia to give him the captain’s armband.

“Kaka is a lovely guy who is eager to work hard, which he proved already in training. I must do well to get the best out of him and help him reach peak fitness. You cannot expect a player, even one of his level, to be ready straight away.”

Kaka was used as a trequartista behind strikers Alessandro Matri and Robinho, setting up one of the goals in this 4-0 win.

“We have to work, as we changed our tactical system with forwards who allow me to vary my options,” continued Allegri.

“I am happy because we have almost everyone available except Daniele Bonera and Giampaolo Pazzini. Riccardo Saponara was able to play a good half-hour and even scored.”

Ignazio Abate was sent home early by the Italy medics after he was stretchered off with an upper thigh twinge in the 1-0 win over Bulgaria.

“We’ll see what condition Abate is in when he returns from international duty, while Mattia De Sciglio will be fully available from Monday.”
