Inter may have scored seven at the weekend, but Andrea Ranocchia is just as happy with the clean sheet at Sassuolo.

The Nerazzurri struggled defensively last term as only Pescara conceded more than the 57 they let in over the course of 38 League games.

“We were very solid at the back again and managed to keep another clean sheet,” the stopper noted. “We have to keep doing that.

“We're all working really well as a team this year and that's what has helped us to concede fewer chances.”

Inter have let in just one goal in four games so far, allowing Arturo Vidal to score at San Siro in the 1-1 draw with Juventus.

“We have a difficult game coming up on Thursday now against Fiorentina and we must get stuck into preparing for it properly straight away,” added the Italian.

“As I said, it's going to be tough. We must make sure we're ready for them.”
