Vincenzo Montella warned Fiorentina and their fans against “excessive euphoria” with Chievo after beating Juventus.

“The way we prepare for this game must not be different from how we approached Juventus,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Excessive euphoria risks becoming counter-productive, whereas enthusiasm can only do us good. Above all, one thing must be very clear: absolute concentration against Chievo.”

Not only are they fresh from beating Juventus 4-2, but on Thursday crushed Romanians Pandurii 3-0 to keep a perfect Europa League record.

“Tomorrow’s match will be very difficult, certainly more than the one with Pandurii. Chievo know how to soak up pressure and are strong technically with a charismatic Coach.

“As things stand, I am satisfied with the way the team has progressed. The lads are great professionals and are getting better all the time.”

Joaquin broke his duck against Juve and found the net again with a stunning solo effort on Thursday.

“Joaquin was never a gamble for us,” assured Montella. “When he arrived, we considered him to be a top class player. His only problem is that he is accustomed to training while playing games, so without much time on the field it became a struggle.

“When I gave him the opportunity to prove himself, he gave me answers and I am certain he’ll improve further.

“Juan Cuadrado is a guarantee on the right, but I am trying to see what he can give me on the left flank. He still cuts in to the centre too much.”
