Line-ups: Torino-Roma

Roma aim for a European record 11th straight opening win, but travel to Alessio Cerci’s goal-happy Torino in 4-2-4 vs 4-3-3.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin at 19.45 GMT, click here for a match preview.

The Giallorossi have already made history, becoming the first team ever to win the opening 10 Serie A rounds.

The next target for Rudi Garcia’s men is to match the run of 11 set by Tottenham in 1960-61, the best start in any of the top five European Leagues.

Francesco Totti, Gervinho and Mattia Destro are still sidelined, while Leandro Castan’s ban means the centre-backs are changed for the first time this season. Douglas Maicon returns from his ban.

Nicolas Burdisso steps in to partner Mehdi Benatia at the back, but there are other changes too.

Marco Borriello, Miralem Pjanic and Alessandro Florenzi are the trident attack with Michael Bradley, Kevin Strootman and Daniele De Rossi in midfield.

This pushes Pjanic up into a more attacking role, leaving Adem Ljajic on the bench.

Torino are rarely dull to watch, as on Wednesday they fumbled a 2-0 lead, were trailing 3-2 and eventually held Livorno to a 3-3 draw.

Giampiero Ventura can count on Cerci, Riccardo Meggiorini and Omar El Kaddouri, but Giuseppe Vives is suspended in midfield.

Marcelo Larrondo, Guillermo Rodriguez and Alexander Farnerud are among those injured, though Migjen Basha returns from his ban.

Ciro Immobile is benched, as Torino return to their old 4-2-4 formation that is Ventura’s trademark.

History is on Roma’s side, as they are unbeaten in Turin since 1990 and have won their last six encounters with the Granata, home and away.
