This week Mihajlovic left the Serbia job to take over from Delio Rossi at Marassi and will make his debut against Lazio tomorrow.
“I believe Mihajlovic was the best possible choice for Sampdoria and more proof of the passion President Edoardo Garrone has for this club,” Galatasaray manager Mancini told ANSA news agency.
“I think the fans need to stay close to them now.”
