Milan melee

From resignations to confirmations and the introduction of two CEOs, Susy Campanale feels Milan have lost the plot.

Maybe we finally figured out what Mario Balotelli meant when he tweeted: “This is the end.” He saw the future, for this will definitely not end well for Milan. It is entirely clear that nobody knows what is going on, who is in charge or how long that situation will last before another massive upheaval. Do we really believe Adriano Galliani and Barbara Berlusconi will work together, each sticking to their own separate tasks as joint general managers? In pure Ghostbusters style, they are inevitably going to cross the streams.

“You cannot have two captains of a ship,” noted ex-Milan midfielder Zvonimir Boban. Add President Silvio Berlusconi to the mix and you have three people who think they are steering. Barbara wants to bring in Paolo Maldini, who has previously said the reason he isn’t back at Milan is his problem with Galliani. Ariedo Braida is still there for reasons now not entirely clear. The January transfer window is coming up, the Rossoneri desperately need reinforcements and Galliani’s status at the club has been gutted like a fish.

Nobody can possibly benefit from this situation. Galliani has effectively been demoted, Barbara isn’t getting the power she wanted and Silvio Berlusconi will have to mediate between them. At least Massimiliano Allegri and the team can have some of the media heat taken off them for a while. The soap opera behind the scenes will be far more interesting for the papers, as Lady B continues her machinations to unsettle Uncle Fester.

I see this as a huge missed opportunity. Galliani’s time is up, that much is clear, so why not go with it and make this a clean break? Dragging the situation on with him sharing the throne with Barbara is only going to make the inevitable divorce even messier. Let Maldini come in and Ms Berlusconi reform the club for a modern age. It’s going to happen sooner or later and anything else is just a waste of time.

You're not even superior to my left shoe. That little girl that you're calling me by has put you in your place, again ! Don't try to play mental with me just because you have been gone with it. It doesn't affect me and you need help.

I'm notcied with stupidity? Only by three guys here because they are stupid and they see all people that way. Now, please kneel :)

Susy, if we had the intel on what these three share, than a pareto chart and an 8D could at least solve it on paper right?
But unfortunately we're not on the 13th floor of the glass building :)

@ boss. An autograph you silly little goose.
on the 6th December, 2013 at 2:54am

I look upon your post with disappointment. Nice of you to try and brown nose your fellow irrelevant comrades for a bit of support. Your "humble defence" lol rather then just spitting out malarkey how about you try and grasp the concept of what that actually means.

You are a bit of a novice. You contribute nothing to this post. You have made no valid point about this blog, you probably name dropped me to get some attention from me. I'll give u an autograph if u love me so much.
on the 5th December, 2013 at 7:04pm
@boss apologies if I somehow insulted you, I mean Viktor and Mustaafaa know how to take it in the chin and dish back in a constructive matter. YOU on the other hand which from your limited amount of lets say,Nut Knowledge cannot comprehend.therefore in my humble defence I'd say your a 3 foot tall boy that Google's and hides behind a computer to go look at stats on players and who knows what else to show you have soccer knowledge. Please little hobbit, Give Me a Break. I do like Sherlock though..
on the 4th December, 2013 at 9:12pm

Yeah it was about football and cheating. So yeah its football related how can you NOT understand that. It's not personal about someone on this blog its about coaches and players, hence football related. You slow or something?
on the 4th December, 2013 at 7:25pm
Dominator, lol great comparison between mustaffa and Carl froch, nail on the head with them both being deluded. Mustuffa, im happy for u to carry me to my place which is standing atop your chest. Once again I see people aiming laughter at you. As per usual no valid points to make. U sound like a grown man the the brain of a child. Nicola, put simply, you're an idiot. Debating and passion is part of football. You lack it. Don't try and be Sherlock either.

@ maldini question:

He was booed by the curva sud because he once made a negative comment about them. I think he said something like true Milanistas would not behave like they do...who needs them. and he made that comment about 5 years before he retired. but Maldini is back in everyone's good graces now. And he happens to be my all time favorite player...FORZA MALDINI

@ Mustaafaa , I Like Juve alot but the proactive way to state a point is in my most humble opinion, not to bring up arguments from past (4 to 6 months) ago. Conte proved alot of pundits wrong and I'm a big fan of his from when he was playing with Juve. Most memorable was with Italy in the 2000 euros he was just amazing. Seria A for Life.....Keep the Peace Brothers.

Im your superior that is why i judge you. Have you never noticed that youre only ever noticed for the stupidity of your posts rather then the sense. Do you see the pattern. Everyone on here seems to squabble with you. Your the common denominator in these issues. If you made a valid point i could forgive your stupidity. But you dont.

Lol we have had a whole blog about Milan's mentality and you're raising it here in the hope it might encourage somebody to support you. Sad little girl

There were protests in some of the games that season and Maldini criticised the fans. The following season when we won the league he didn't celebrate with the fans. He always distanced himself from the really hardcare nutters. This is why those same nutters booed him in his last game. It was utterly disgraceful and did not reflect what the vast majority of the fans felt but still it did leave a bad taste in your mouth. I'm not sure that's much of an explanation but I hope that helps clarify.

@ Maldini Question That was one of the all time low points in Milan's history. My father was a Milan fan and I have always been a Milan fan but there are certain incidents which makes you question your loyalty and this was definitely one. I think the issue was that a certain very small section of the ultras never had much rapport with Maldini. They felt he was a little aloof. A lot of tensions grew around the 97/98 season when Milan were going through a bad patch (a bit like now).

@ Viktoria

That was in response to you saying you only concerned about football, not about personal things. Don't try and turn it around now :)

Posting "man up Conte" was "clearly" about football ha? That's something to lol about. What a pathetic 'clueless' guy :)

Paolo's last game at San Siro is just pure pain. Albeit it was only a fraction of the crowd but they managed to ruin it for everyone else, embarrassing themselves beyond recognition in front of the world.

"I dedicate this (2009 trophy) to Italian football and Paolo Maldini, who need not worry because he has the admiration of all of Europe"

Our feelings exactly. Thanks Pep !

@Maldini Question

Only possible possible thing that could have angered Milan fans was the gossip of him going to psg to help out but that was nothing but a gossip
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 9:05pm
@Maldini Question

I find that extremely hard to believe as he's always in our hearts.
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 9:03pm

What are you talking about? I said that about conte while ago but what the hell has that that to do with anything at the moment? Did you accidentally entered a 6 month old blog or something? Stick to the topic and leave out personal Jibberish.
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 9:01pm
@ Viktoria

Really ? Don't you remember posting "man up Conte" when Conte was defending himself of accusations in Calcioscommesse.

I can bring up a lot of those if you want :)

Yeah, "clearly" we know who they are :)
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 8:03pm
Does anyone know why the Milan fans booed paolo maldini on his last official game? Was Galliani behind it at all? I remember the banners at the game reading "remember who made you great" or something like that anyway. Anyone know?
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 7:59pm
@ nicola

rest assure that I'm not nothing like the people you refer to, as some of them are like those who made themselves heard and happy about Pessotto.
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 6:18pm
@ Dumbinator

And who are you to judge me? You and the likes of Boss always think they know everything and always make valid points. What makes you think that you're valid and who do you think you are ?

however, if I would speak your way: The mentality made Milan lose that Liverpool final. Ha, it's simply the dumbest thing I have ever heard and sums up your football knowledge. I hope you realize how pathetic you are :)

Go back and watch you're favorite show, The Mentalist.
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 6:09pm

My intentions are just to talk about football but I get rather annoyed when people brings up personal accusations instead of focusing on football. No need to mentioned names we all know who they are. Clearly I'm biased to ac milan as they are my team since early age, true fans often speak beyond highly of their teams even though they don't necessarily deserve it.

Lazio - Napoli today. Any input?

Nothing personal but I really think that (Mustafa, Viktor, and Boss are the same person. ( The Good The bad and The ugly) now let the single person choose which personality they wanna be, and by the way don't argue with yourself over the ugly. Guy's This is a football blog not a debate on who's smarter than a 5th grader tv show.
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 3:11pm
@ Anonymous

So which one of them are you ? And what's your definition of 'clearly'? Is it as clear as your name for example ?

I wonder how some dumbs think in here and finally realize that there's something called "my opinion" of something. I expressed my opinion about LL and still stand by it. But guys like you don't know how people have right to do so and I KNOW you don't know what I'm talking about.

So, zip it Mr. Football, and by the way, you proved nothing :)
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 2:03pm

I think you and Carl Froch have something in common. You're both deluded. You see one thing, everyone else sees another. Others have already pointed out, as have i, that you struggle to make valid points.

I frequently see you posting only to be ridiculed by others. You only ever lose arguments. Do you enjoy the sensation of being made to look stupid?
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 1:21pm
lost the plot.....came thru a potentially very difficult week with 6 goals scored away from home, and Galliani still in place. lost the plot indeed.
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 12:25pm
@ annonymous yes great to see SES back. He had some nice touches. I'm not sure robinho or matri exactly made a claim for his shirt while he was injured. I see Galliani described how he had the idea to re-sign kaka on 31 august. As much as it's good to have kaka back this is not the sort of planned transfer campaign that builds successful teams.
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 10:02am
Adriano Galliani is like the Prime Minister that refuses to go. The tradesman who thinks he will be great for ever. People like this who do not leave or move over with dignity should be kicked out in disgrace. Problem is they have put another no brainer to tag team with him. They should be called Dumb & Dumber. What a sham for a great club.
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 7:30am
Not sure why they keep posting mustafaa's messages. He's a waste of time to read, and clearly knows nothing about football. I'm just happy the skyscraper (llorente) is proving me right about mustafaa's knowledge about players and the game.

As for Milan staff, Berlusconi should get rid of all of them, open his wallet and bribe the entire juve staff as they have been incredible over the past couple of years.
on the 2nd December, 2013 at 3:43am
A bit off topic but damn it was good to see El Shaarawy back on the pitch against Catania. He won't solve of all of Milan's problems but he's a legend. Just need De Sciglio back now!!
