“Verona are set up well with valid players who are hungry to prove themselves and some very talented youngsters,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“They know how to make the most of home advantage and we are in a bit of an emergency situation, but we don’t want to create alibis.

“We need a result that can be a breakthrough away from home and in that sense this game can be the turning point.”

The Orobici have one win on their travels this season and six defeats, whereas Verona had won all their home ties until a surprise 1-0 loss to local rivals Chievo.

Colantuono has an injury crisis to deal with, as Guglielmo Stendardo, Maxi Moralez, Giacomo Bonaventura, Mario Yepes, Cristian Raimondi, Gianpaolo Bellini and Cristiano Del Grosso are sidelined.

Midfield dynamo Luca Cigarini is also suspended.

Atalanta squad for Verona: Consigli, Sportiello, Polito; Barba, Brivio, Canini, Cazzola, Lucchini, Scaloni, Nica, Baselli, Brienza, Carmona, Migliaccio, Gagliardini, Giorgi, Kone; De Luca, Denis, Marilungo, Livaja, Pugliese
