The fixture has been a tormented one for the supporters, as until Friday the Curva Nord – where the Inter ultras sit – was to be closed after ‘discriminatory’ anti-Neapolitan chants.

The club’s appeal was accepted to suspend the ban pending further investigation.

However, it’s reported that this morning the local authorities unexpectedly ruled Milan fans could not bring their choreography into the stands of the Curva Sud.

It had been regularly checked by the club and authorised to go ahead, but La Gazzetta dello Sport claims they suddenly pulled the plug.

Hearing of this news, the Inter ultras in the Curva Nord decided to remove their choreography in solidarity with their Milan counterparts.
