“Milan are an excellent side who keep the ball for a very long time and above all shoot from all angles,” said the Orobici Coach in his Press conference.

“Mario Balotelli will be the reference point for our defence, but he is hardly the only danger. We must do well to take our chances on the counter-attack. If we only go there to defend, it’ll be easier for Milan to score against us. It wouldn’t make sense to take that approach.”

This week Atalanta signed defender Yohan Benalouane from Parma and he could debut, but Marko Livaja, Giampaolo Bellini, Stefano Lucchini and Lionel Scaloni are out with Giulio Migliaccio and Guido Marilungo not 100 per cent fit.

The Oroboci conquered San Siro 1-0 last season thanks to a Luca Cigarini goal and this term are only one point behind their more illustrious cousins.

Atalanta squad for Milan: Consigli, Polito, Sportiello; Benalouane, Brivio, Canini, Del Grosso, Nica, Raimondi, Stendardo, Yepes; Baselli, Bonaventura, Brienza, Carmona, Cazzola, Cigarini, Gagliardini, Giorgi, Kone, Migliaccio; Denis, De Luca, Marilungo, Moralez
