Roberto Donadoni has conceded that he hopes his Parma side continue their impressive start to 2014 when they face Lazio on Tuesday.

The Crociati have won both of their games so far this year, and the Coach has claimed that he’d like to carry on that momentum and get to the quarter-finals of the competition.

“We’ve started this new year really well,” he told reporters. “I’m thinking positively and believe we can do well against Lazio.

“I think you can see that the hard we’ve done is paying off.

“We have a continuity about us that is serving us well – the road towards the end of the season is a long one though.”

The Coach then commented on Antonio Cassano, who has been linked with a move away this month.

“As for Cassano, we all know there is an external situation. But I know he has only thinking of doing well for this team.

“And for me, that’s enough.”
