Despite recent reports that Cesare Prandelli was looking for the FIGC to back out of the arranged fixture, they have today published details of the fixture, received yesterday from their Spanish counterparts the RFEF.

Atletico Madrid’s Vicente Calderon will be the venue for the fixture, which is to be played on March 5 with a 10pm kick-off.

The Azzurri have played La Roja four times in the last two-and-a-half years, with their last meeting being the goalless draw in the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup, won by Vicente del Bosque’s side on penalties.

Meanwhile, the latest FIFA World Rankings have been published today, with the top 25 positions maintained from the previous month, listing Spain in top spot and Italy in seventh, in between Uruguay and Switzerland.
