There are some concerns the game could be delayed, as there is a weather warning for rain and flash floods in the city today.

Gasperini lasted only a few weeks on the Nerazzurri bench before he was fired and faces his old club, but has stirred up controversy this week by suggesting they would not have won without the Calciopoli scandal removing Juventus from Serie A.

“Winning the Treble was extraordinary, but Inter only started winning after Calciopoli. That isn’t my opinion, it’s simply a fact,” reiterated Gasp in his Press conference.

“In order to get a turning point in our season we need a positive result against one of the top teams. We’re facing Inter, a big side, and so far have lost all our encounters with the prestigious clubs.

“We are missing many important players, as Francelino Matuzalem is suspended with Daniele Portanova, Juraj Kucka, Alessandro Gamberini and Mario Alberto Santana injured. Mattia Perin trained on Saturday, so he could play.”

Genoa have reinforced over the January transfer window, as Paolo De Ceglie completed his loan move from Juventus this weekend and Marco Motta is expected to arrive tomorrow.

“De Ceglie is part of the squad and we’ll see if he will play, although he hasn’t had time to train with us.”

Genoa squad for Inter: Antonelli, Antonini, Bertolacci, Biondini, Bizzarri, Cabral, Calaiò, Centurion, Cofie, De Ceglie, De Maio, Donnarumma, Fetfatzidis, Gilardino, Konate, Marchese, Perin, Pierre, Sampirisi, Sokoli, Stoian, Sturaro, Vrsaljko
