Eugenio Corini has outlined Chievo’s respect for Napoli, but suggests his side, if organised, are capable of picking up a result.

Week 21 sees the Flying Donkeys travel out to the San Paolo to face Champions League qualification-chasing Napoli very much as the underdogs.

“Napoli are a team of great quality, they look to recapture possession, they know how to be lethal in attack thanks to their offensive players,” Corini has mused in his pre-match briefing.

“Their midfield is truly complete because they have Inler and Behrami, two good players in defence and in using possession.

“Moreover, Jorginho has now arrived, who is a great addition both technically and for his energy.

“However, if we can cover the field well and manage to contain the onslaught from Napoli, and then counter-attack like we know how to, in order to create the prerequisites for scoring goals, then we can get a result.”

Chievo head into this fixture off the back of some indifferent form.

“This League is a test of endurance for most teams. We have to be brave to take to the field again, with great desire and character, and when the results do not come, to be able to react immediately because in football, as happened last Sunday against Parma, it is often an episode that decides the fate of a match.”
