Al-Thani family to bid for Cagliari?

The Al-Thani family are said to be interested in taking over from Massimo Cellino at Cagliari.

The Italian tycoon has recently bought a 75 per cent stakehold in English side Leeds United.

And with suggestions that his thoughts may be elsewhere, Sport Mediaset claim that the Qatari family are interested in buying the Isolani off of the entrepreneur.

The Middle Eastern billionaires reportedly want to have a foothold in Italian football, and see the Sardinian side as their best opportunity.

The Al-Thani family currently have shares in Paris Saint-Germain, Siemens, Barclays Bank and have put money behind the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
