Gianluca Zambrotta has reflected on Clarence Seedorf’s ‘strong personality’ and says Milan have a good chance against Atletico Madrid coming up.

The Rossoneri head out to Spain in a couple of weeks’ time for the second leg of their Champions League Last 16 clash against Los Colchoneros 1-0 down.

However, with Atleti having notably fallen to a 3-0 League defeat at the weekend to Osasuna, former Milan full-back Zambrotta sees a glimmer of hope.

“Milan go into that with Atletico the team in trouble,” Zambrotta has told Fox Sports this week.

“Now Simeone’s side are struggling with fatigue, both from a sporting viewpoint and a psychological standing.

“Milan can still qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.”

Zambrotta, who is Coach of Swiss outfit Chiasso, reflected also on former teammate Seedorf’s impact at San Siro from the bench.

“Clarence just needs a bit of time. He is the new Coach of Milan, and is very finicky, a great professional, a very intelligent person.

“The results of his work are already there to see. When we were teammates in the dressing room we called him Obama, because he always wanted to be right.

“He always had a great personality. Even when the crowd whistled him, he would want the ball at his feet.

“At the end of a training session he was the first to say something to Ibrahimovic, another strong personality.”
