Stunned by that response from a few people, the Italian Federation and Cagliari have announced plans to widen the rainbow laces initiative.

All the Sardinian players will wear the laces in Sunday’s game against Udinese” data-scaytid=”8″>Udinese, while captain Daniele Conti’s armband will have rainbow colours for the occasion.

Serie A Coaches are also urged to wear rainbow laces this weekend.
