Udinese have dismissed reports that they are considering dispensing with the services of Coach Francesco Guidolin in favour of Andrea Mandorlini.

Mandorlini, who is currently at Verona, has a contract with the Gialloblu that expires in the summer and Corriere dello Sport claim he could be set for a move to Venezia-Giulia” data-scaytid=”10″>Friuli-Venezia-Giulia.

“With regard to today’s report in Corriere dello Sport, Udinese strongly denies having ever had any contact with Andrea Mandorlini with a view to becoming our Coach,” a statement on the Bianconeri’s website reads.

“Our confidence in the work of Francesco Guidolin, who has a contract with the club until June 30 2017, has been made clear on more than one occasion.

“Therefore, the allegations made are completely unfounded.

“The concentration of everyone at the club at the moment is geared towards coming through a tough period of results and Guidolin, as repeatedly stressed, is the right man to take Udinese back to the area in the league table where we feel the club should be.”
