The Viola had drawn the first leg 1-1 in Turin, but were beaten 1-0 at home by an Andrea Pirlo free kick following Gonzalo Rodriguez’s red card.
“In the first half we played pretty well, but unfortunately did not score,” the defender told Mediaset.
“Then that goal happened in a difficult moment and we couldn’t find the strength to get back into the game.
“We did great things tactically, especially on the flanks, and were almost perfect against a Juve side that is stronger than anyone else in Italy.
“We could feel the expectation in the stadium, but were still mentally focused and ready for battle.”
