Serie A sides want Richards

Milan, Inter, Napoli and Juventus are being heavily linked with Micah Richards after reports he’ll leave Manchester City.

The right-back joined the club in October 2005, but according to The Guardian he has rejected a new contract offer.

Now City are expecting around £7m for the 25-year-old and there are reports of interest from several Serie A sides.

It’s not the first time that Richards has been linked with a move to Italy, but this summer the transfer is most likely to go through.

Milan are the favourites, as this week there were other reports suggesting his former Manchester City teammate Mario Balotelli had been acting as a go-between.

However, much could rely on whether the Rossoneri qualify for the Europa League.

Juventus, Napoli and Inter are also thought to be tracking Richards for next season, as Rafa Benitez in particular is looking for a right-back to replace Christian Maggio.
