Francesco Guidolin believes Antonio Di Natale “can reach 200 goals” and he is “having fun” at Udinese again.

The Friulani fought back from 2-0 down for a 2-2 draw at Verona today, including Di Natale’s extraordinary volley, the 190th of his Serie A career.

Yet the 36-year-old is seriously considering retirement at the end of this season.

“I speak to Di Natale every day,” Guidolin explained to Sky Sport Italia. “If I were him, I’d be training to reach 200 goals.

“He has the physique of a 30-year-old. As for personal choices, you’d have to ask him.”

Guidolin has also raised the issue of potentially stepping aside as Coach for a new role as club director, but he’s not convinced either.

“I am having fun watching this Udinese play like this and it can be a sign for my future. We did well in the second half, attacking more and deserving more than a point.

“I am a little sad for my Verona, as there is still a Gialloblu heart within me thanks to practically my entire playing career with this club. We needed a strong performance and showed professionalism, as we had nothing to gain except for honour and pride.”
