Luca Antonini mocked Cesare Prandelli’s Code of Ethics and decision to drop Alberto Gilardino for the World Cup.

Genoa striker Gilardino was surprisingly excluded from Italy’s 30-man provisional squad for the 2014 tournament in Brazil.

His club teammate Antonini reacted with sarcasm on Twitter.

“You don’t have the necessary requisites for this Nazionale: too ethically correct, too many appearances, too many goals, too talented! Sorry, friend.”

The insult was aimed at Coach Prandelli’s Code of Ethics, which many say has been used inconsistently.
