Roma have unveiled their new home shirt for the 2014-15 season, the first as part of their new sponsorship deal with Nike.

The capital club broke their contract with previous manufacturers Kappa a year earlier than planned in 2013 after dispute over ‘serious defects found in the technical material’ and as a result last season produced their own kits in house.

From the 2014-15 campaign, however, a 10-year deal signed with Nike comes into effect and the club have today presented the first home shirt to be produced by the American company.

As revealed on their official website and through their official Twitter account, the Giallorossi will play in a plain red design, with slight detailing in the same colour marking out a faint stripped pattern, whilst there are also dark yellow bands at the end of each sleeve.

The club’s Press release describes the design, which includes a red polo collar, as ‘inspired by the tradition and glorious history of the club’.
