Napoli’s search for midfield reinforcement may take them towards Tottenham Hotspur’s Sandro.
The Vesuviani are seen as in the market to strengthen the centre of their team and, alongside continued interest in Javier Mascherano, the Gazzetta dello Sport reiterate today that other options are also on the table.
The pink paper speculate that alongside the Barcelona man, Napoli could bring in another midfielder and, in light of continued difficulties in pushing for Maxime Gonalons, their search has apparently led them to Sandro.
The 25-year-old has been increasingly linked with a move away from Tottenham, after apparently becoming frustrated in North London, and his agent has recently commented that the player would be open to a move to Italy.
The Gazzetta dello Sport indicate that Sandro now tops Napoli’s list of midfielders, alongside Mascherano, whilst Atletico Madrid’s Mario Suarez is also named as an alternative still in the picture.
