Montolivo out for three-four months

Riccardo Montolivo will be out for between three and four months, reports this morning claim.

The Milan midfielder fractured his tibia in Italy’s 0-0 draw with Republic of Ireland on Saturday evening, meaning he will miss the World Cup.

And Sky Sport Italia reveal that the Rossoneri man will fly back to Linate airport at 14.00 CET before going straight to hospital to have pre-operative tests.

The network believes that initial diagnosis is that Montolivo will be back by September at the earliest.
