Napoli’s Valon Behrami has played down speculation linking him with a move to Inter this summer.

The 29-year-old is currently on World Cup duty with Switzerland but the Nerazzurri are said to have made him their number one target to replace Esteban Cambiasso.

Speaking to Sport Mediaset today however, the player denied having had any contact with the San Siro giants and insisted all he is concentrating on is the World Cup.

“The transfer market? We’ll discuss it after the World Cup,” Behrami said. “Now we want to have a good World Cup, but we mustn’t forget that we are Switzerland.

“Inter? No, there’s nothing at this moment. I haven’t heard from my agent but we’re thinking about the World Cup.

“We’ll think about the transfer market afterwards if there are other things to clear up.

“We’ll see what the President and Coach think, then we’ll assess the situation.”
