Colombia Coach Jose Pekerman is not getting carried away by his team’s excellent start to their World Cup campaign.

The South Americans hung on to beat Ivory Coast 2-1 earlier today to all but secure their qualification to the Last 16 of the tournament.

“It is, of course, a huge pleasure to see Colombia coming to this level,” Pekerman commented after the final whistle.

“First of all at the World Cup after such a long period of time, and then having enjoyed two consecutive victories with players who are here for the first time, so they are all very positive situations for us.

"However, we cannot start thinking ahead of time or what might be coming later on."
