Costa Rica are one of three CONCACAF sides in the Round of 16 and already caused upsets by topping the Group of Death ahead of Uruguay, Italy and England.

They conceded only one goal in the group phase and were able to rest Christian Bolanos and Michael Umana in the 0-0 with Roy Hodgson’s men.

Euro 2004 winners Greece are in this stage of a World Cup for the first time ever and left it extremely late, needing a last-gasp Georgios Samaras penalty to eliminate the Ivory Coast.

They scored only two goals in the group games and had injury concerns over Orestis Karnezis and Bologna midfielder Panagiotis Kone, but the goalkeeper does start.

There are several Serie A faces in the Greek side, including Roma full-back Vasilis Torosidis and Bologna’s Lazaros Christodoulopoulos.

Also included is ex-Genoa centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

Costa Rica: Navas; Duarte, Gonzalez, Umana; Gamboa, Ruiz, Borges, Tejeda, Bolanos, Diaz; Campbell

Greece: Karnezis; Torosidis, Manolas, Sokratis, Cholevas; Maniatis, Karagounis; Salpingidis, Samaris, Christodoulopoulos; Samaras
