German international Christoph Kramer confirmed he is “talking to Napoli. It’s a very interesting offer with a great Coach.”
The midfielder started the World Cup Final against Argentina, but lasted only 30 minutes before he was carried off with concussion after a blow to the head.
“Am I in contact with Napoli? Yes, I am talking to Napoli,” 23-year-old Kramer told German newspaper Bild.
“It’s a very interesting offer, above all because they have a great Coach. I cannot add any more at this moment.”
Kramer is owned by Bayer Leverkusen, but impressed last season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Italian papers report he has agreed to the move, but so far Bayer Leverkusen are unwilling to strike a deal worth €12m.
