Palermo beat Apollon Limassol

Palermo earned a prestigious 1-0 victory over Apollon Limassol, including Zouhair Feddal’s debut.

The newly-promoted Sicilians registered a third consecutive pre-season win, this one against a Cypriot side that is ready for the Europa League play-offs.

Robin Quaison, Franco Vazquez and Andrea Belotti threatened before Merkes brought down Belotti, who got back up to convert the penalty.

Abel Hernandez, Milan Milanovic and Edgar Barreto had chances to make it 2-0, but Francesco Bolzoni got himself sent off 11 minutes from time.

New defender Feddal made his debut after completing the move from Parma earlier today.
