Pippo Inzaghi was encouraged by Milan’s ‘spirit’ shown in achieving a win against Mexican side Chivas on Wednesday night.

The Rossoneri saw goals from M’Baye Niang, Mario Balotelli and Giampaolo Pazzini decide the closing match of their tour of the United States and Canada 3-0, even on a difficult playing surface.

“I think that we played a good game against Liverpool and today on a difficult pitch my team has done very well,” Inzaghi reflected after the match.

“We were good, the combinations that we have seen in training we saw here, there was a beautiful spirit.

“I see the right spirit, I see great desire to do well, I was convinced that we would be improved and we have to continue like this.

“When you go on to the field everyone thinks to dominate the opponent, whilst I think that in the end, despite the field, it was a good game for us and for our opponents for losing no-one to injury, which was important.

“In attack we have done very well, on the part of Balotelli, Pazzini and Niang, but also with regards to Honda, who always puts in great spirit.

“Menez has also entered with the right spirit and the right legs, we are finding everyone in a good condition.

“It was nice to see how the attackers fought and helped the team.”
