Reports in the Italian media claim Antonio Conte has signed a contract to become Italy’s new Coach on a two-year deal.

The former Juventus boss has been the favourite to succeed Cesare Prandelli ever since his shock resignation from the Old Lady earlier in the summer.

Now, it appears that the man who led Juve to three successive Scudetti has signed a deal that would see him preside over the Azzurri’s Euro 2016 campaign.

It is the first major decision made by new FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio since he assumed the post earlier this week, with Conte reportedly set to earn over 2m a year in his new role.

Official confirmation is yet to be made, but it is expected imminently.
