Cerci cut from EL squad

Alessio Cerci’s Torino future has once again been thrown into doubt after he was left out of their Europa League squad.

Il Toro host RNK Split on Thursday, going into the match with the tie finely balanced at 0-0 from the first leg.

But they will have to do without the Italy winger, who has, once again, been left out by Coach Giampiero Ventura.

Cerci has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer, with Milan, Atletico Madrid and Arsenal all thought to be keen.

And this announcement will keep the rumour-mill turning, with indications that the attacker being cup-tied will lower his price tag.

New boys Fabio Quagliarella and Antonio Nocerino do make the squad however.

Torino squad: Gillet, Padelli; Bovo, Darmian, Gaston Silva, Glik, Jansson, Maksimovic, Molinaro, Moretti, Vesovic; Benassi, El Kaddouri, Gazzi, Nocerino, Vives; Barreto, Martinez, Quagliarella
