“After sitting out yesterday’s training in Vinovo, Arturo Vidal today underwent medical tests which revealed a light strain of the semitendinosus muscle in his right thigh,” read a statement.

“The 27-year-old has immediately begun his rehabilitation programme and further tests to monitor his progress are scheduled for next week.”

This means Vidal will miss this weekend’s Serie A game against Udinese” data-scaytid=”6″>Udinese and the Champions League opener with Malmo.

There have been reports he could be sidelined for up to three weeks and this statement does not entirely reassure fans.
