Rai Sport are today first to focus on the building pressure at the San Paolo and suggest that there is an increasing likelihood that Benitez’s contract won’t be renewed beyond the end of the campaign.

Whilst also acknowledging that there remains time to turn the situation around, the outlet indicates that two names are up for immediate consideration to come in as Benitez’s replacement.

Namely, it is understood that Roberto Mancini and Vincenzo Montella are regarded as likely candidates, with the first believed held in high esteem by Aurelio De Laurentiis and the latter reputedly open to what would be a move to his hometown club.
