The 18-year-old only debuted with the Ducali midway through last season but has already been handed two starts this season by Roberto Donadoni and reportedly attracted interest from Juventus.

Whilst the player has laughed this early speculation off, Parma are apparently preparing to take steps to tie him down to an improved and extended contract at the Tardini.

Tuttomercatoweb report that the Gialloblu have already made initial contact with Mauri’s entourage to arrange a meeting to begin such talks.

The Argentine-born Italy youth international is currently seen as on an annual salary of €45,000, one of the lowest in the Parma first-team squad.
