Roma will be without Douglas Maicon for two rounds, but Kevin Strootman could return sooner than expected, according to reports.
Maicon picked up an injury just hours before the Giallorossi’s Champions League game with Bayern Munich.
Il Messaggero reports that the Brazilian international’s suspected inflammation of a knee ligament will keep him out the team’s upcoming League games with Sampdoria and Cesena.
However, the newspaper has good news for the Lupi, with Kevin Strootman expected to return to the side sooner than expected.
The Ducthman was expected to be out until the end of November, with the capital club’s trip to Atalanta mooted as a possible return date for the player, who has been out of action since March after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in his side’s defeat to Napoli.
However, Il Messaggero now reports that Strootman is progressing better than expected, and could take a place on the bench when Torino visit the Olimpico on November 9.
