Strama: 'Udinese to attack Genoa'

Andrea Stramaccioni assured Udinese will “face Genoa in an open and attacking way” on Sunday.

It kicks off at 14.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

“We will face Genoa in an open and attacking way. They are a team with the same ambitions as Lazio, Milan or Inter, so we must keep our final target in mind,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

“We will have a tough test and character will be key, while I expect individual duels around to field to also be decisive.”

The Grifone are fresh from a shock 1-0 victory over Serie A leaders Juventus, ending their unbeaten record.

Udinese were beaten 3-0 at Fiorentina midweek, confirming their struggles away from home.

“I think our only negative performances were against Torino and the first half at Juventus. In Florence we had the right attitude, then Montella’s side were stronger in the second half.

“There is a lot of work to do, but that is normal because we have a young squad. I field Di Natale when he is in good shape, so if he’s doing well in training then I’ll pick him again. Squad rotation is dictated by the condition of the players, not planned in advance.”

Udinese squad for Genoa: Karnezis, Scuffet, Meret; Belmonte, Bubnjic, Danilo, Domizzi, Heurtaux, Pasquale, Piris, Widmer; Allan, Badu, Fernandes, Guilherme, Kone, Evangelista, Pinzi; Di Natale, Geijo, Muriel, Thereau, Zapata
