While many players were away on international duty, the club sacked Walter Mazzarri to bring back Mancini.

“I must thank Mancini and say I really admire him,” Guarin told the official Inter website.

“His words of respect give me great strength and I will add, even if I always felt the responsibility to give my all, provide extra motivation.

“Feeling the faith of the Coach is very important for a player. We have a great opportunity in front of us with a top tactician.

“There have been many changes in the staff. You can sense joy, passion and enthusiasm: all things that are fundamental in football.”

Mancio’s debut will be in the Milan Derby at San Siro, which now becomes more important than ever.

“It’s a huge game for what it represents, the history, but first of all for the three points up for grabs,” added the Colombian midfielder.
