The Ducali have lost eight of the last nine games and will be docked at least one point after missing a deadline to pay outstanding taxes and wages for the past three months.

“Nobody is giving up, especially not me,” Coach Donadoni told reporters after today’s setback at the Stadio Tardini.

“The game with Empoli reflects our season: we do well on the pitch and deserve more, but we are yet again here to comment on a negative result.
“It’s a shame for our fans, who again cheered us on without being repaid with a victory.”

If Donadoni does get the sack, then the most likely replacement would be current Primavera youth team Coach and ex-Parma star Hernan Crespo.
