Sebastian Giovinco’s agent assured “Napoli did not ask for him and I did not propose” the Juventus striker.
There have been multiple reports over the last few days of Rafa Benitez’s men making a January offer for the Italy international.
“Napoli did not ask me for Giovinco and I did not propose him to the club,” agent Andrea D’Amico told Radio Crc.
“I like the city of Naples and its fans, so I think any player would be happy to come to the Partenopei.”
Giovinco’s contract with Juventus expires in June 2015, so a January sale would prevent losing him as a free agent come the summer.
He has also been linked with Premier League clubs such as Arsenal.
