Roberto Mancini wants Manchester City's Matija Nastasic, say reports, but Audax's Sebastian Vegas is an alternative.
The Inter Coach was conjectured four days ago by the Daily Mirror to be after Nastasic, and Tuttosport have today looked to corroborate the story.
They report that Mancio has expressly requested a central defender arrive in January, and that Nastasic is the first option.
Should the Serbian prospect not be available, Inter's interest might apparently turn on rising Chilean defender Sebastien Vegas, currently under contract with Audax, 18 years old and supposedly seen by Inter has holding the same potential for growth as Mateo Kovacic.
Tuttosport say that Milan were previously tracking Vegas and that the Nerazzurri’s early contacts have raised an asking price of €2.5m.
Other alternatives for the position include River Plate's Eder Alvarez Balanta and Galatasaray's Semih Kaya.
