Now outgoing patron Tommaso Ghirardi has released a statement on the club’s official website stating that he has indeed completed a deal to sell the Tardini side.

“Tommaso Ghirardi in the name of and on behalf of the shareholders of Sport Events, having read the statements made by Mr. Doca, confirms the finalisation of the agreement concerning the sale of the shares,” the statement read.

“The Press release issued last night on Parma FC’s official website had been agreed and signed by Mr Doca in the presence of a notary from Giovanni Posio and representatives of the parties yesterday in Brescia – the original copy of the document is kept at the same notary.

“He hopes that this unfortunate and unexpected episode is adequately explained by Mr Doca during the Press conference on Friday.”
