Milan are said to be targeting Newcastle United full-back Davide Santon, an ex-Inter youth product.
He turned 24 this week and has been with the Magpies since leaving Inter in August 2011.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Milan have made enquiries, hoping Santon will be allowed to move on loan with option to buy.
He lost his place in the squad following eight months out with a knee injury and has managed only one brief FA Cup appearance all season.
More importantly, manager Alan Pardew has left Newcastle to take over at Crystal Palace, so Santon may well be looking for a different challenge.
