Napoli had an unusual post-training session meal today, as Christian Maggio and Miguel Angel Britos cooked barbecue.

The entire squad sat down on the edge of the training camp for a traditional ‘asado’ – South American meal based on meat.

Uruguayan Britos was the main chef, aided by Italian teammate Maggio, while the others focused on eating.

The entire squad sat down on the edge of the training camp for a traditional ‘asado’ – South American meal based on meat.

Uruguayan Britos was the main chef, aided by Italian teammate Maggio, while the others focused on eating.

“After the day off yesterday, when we only had one specific session for Strinic, today we returned to training with our usual great atmosphere, and afterwards we got together round a barbecue to unite strengths and continue looking forward to our objectives,” wrote Rafa Benitez on his official website.

“Miguel Angel Britos took responsibility for preparing the meat with the help of Maggio and some others, especially our South American players who boast of their ability to prepare this speciality.

“After this pleasant time together, I post a photo and now we must get some rest, tomorrow with renewed energy we will continue to prepare our game against Lazio this coming Sunday. Forza Napoli always!!!”
