Parma winger Jonathan Biabiany assured fans he is “running fast towards recovery” from a heart problem.
The French player’s heart arrhythmia was discovered during a medical for his proposed move to Milan on transfer deadline day.
There is still no clear idea when or indeed if the 26-year-old will return to football, but he replied to a fan’s questions on Twitter today.
“The club can’t tell you much, but unfortunately it is taking longer than expected. I’ll only return when I am 100 per cent recovered,” wrote Biabiany.
“I hope to play again this year, but the heart is a serious issue, not a thigh strain or a fractured ankle... but I am running fast towards recovery.”
