Parma will be without new signing Andi Lila for around six weeks after he picked up a calf strain on his debut.
The Albanian international had played just 13 minutes of last night’s Coppa Italia tie against Cagliari.
Today the club announced Lila has been diagnosed with a grade II lesion to the right calf muscle.
This type of injury is likely to rule him out for between four and six weeks.
It is a bitter blow for the Ducali, who are bottom of the Serie A table.
