Eto’o-Samp to 2017, then…

Details of striker Samuel Eto'o's potential contract with Sampdoria suggest a deal for two-and-a-half years as a player, then a future as a director.

Following reports that the Blucerchiati have finalised a deal with Everton for the purchase of the former Barcelona star, rumours are emerging about the specifics of the deal.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, the 33-year-old is being offered a contract to play for the club for the next 30 months – two-and-a-half seasons.

It is understood that Eto’o’s contract then includes within it the opportunity for the player to take on a potential role as a club director.

Di Marzio’s site also reiterates that the forward is expected to land in Italy on Sunday evening ahead of undergoing medical tests with Sampdoria the next day.
